Frequently asked

Questions we get in the first meeting.

If yours isn't here, ask it directly — we answer these ourselves.

Getting started

Setting up

How long does it take to get a caseload in?

For a single teacher, about twenty minutes — students, then goals. For a building, school administrators can bulk-import teachers and students from a spreadsheet, and each teacher then writes their own goals. We do the first import with you.

Do I have to re-enter goals that already exist?

No. Existing goals can be entered as-is with their current baseline and target, and the line starts from the next data point you log. You do not lose the history you already hold — you can backdate the data points you have.

What does it cost to trial?

Self-registration starts a three-month trial with the full feature set and no card. At the end of it you either license or export your data and leave.

Daily use

Teaching with it

Does it work on a phone at the table?

Yes — that is the case it is designed for. Logging a trial is one tap, and the layout is built for a thumb rather than a mouse. Report writing and goal building are better on a larger screen.

Can my paraprofessional log data?

Yes. Co-teachers and paraprofessionals get their own sign-in and access to the specific students you share with them. Every entry records who made it, so the audit trail stays intact.

What if a student is not making progress?

The report will say so, and it will say it early — rate of progress is compared against the review window continuously, not at the end. That is the point: an insufficient-progress flag in week four is useful, in week thirty it is a post-mortem.

Can I still write the narrative myself?

Always. The drafted paragraph is a starting point generated from the trend. Every word of it is editable, and plenty of teams rewrite it entirely — it is quicker to edit than to face a blank field.

Data & trust

Security and compliance

Is it FERPA-compliant?

It is built to FERPA expectations: access scoped to caseload, personally identifying fields encrypted at rest, access logged, short sessions and enforced sign-in limits. Compliance is ultimately a district-level determination, and we will work through your review with you.

Where does the data live, and can we get it out?

It lives in your district's instance, and you can export the whole thing — students, goals, every data point, every report — at any time, in a format you can open. The data belongs to the school.

Is it accessible for staff who use assistive technology?

Yes. The product is built and tested to WCAG 2.1 AA: keyboard-operable throughout, screen-reader labelled, and contrast-checked in both light and dark themes.
